Children's Healthcare of Brevard welcomes Dr. Daniel Mooney, who brings expertise in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. He is double board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both specialties.

Dr. Mooney completed a three-year residency in pediatrics at New York Medical College (NYMC), followed by a three-year fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Morristown Pediatric Emergency Department. His experience includes serving as an attending physician at NYMC’s Pediatric Emergency Department and working in the emergency room at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center, where he managed critically ill children from across the Hudson Valley. He also held the role of assistant professor of emergency medicine at NYMC.

Dr. Mooney and Margaret Witzleb, ARNP, share the belief that pediatric care should be tailored to each child, emphasizing the importance of parents' input and offering choices when possible. They agree parents know their children best. "We want each family to feel heard, valued, and well cared for,” says Witzleb.
