Souler Float Fibromyalgia Study
Souler Float will be participating in a fibromyalgia flotation research project. It’s open to anyone interested in the healing and therapeutic benefits of floatation therapy for the relief of fibromyalgia.
Floaters will enter a custom-made flotation pod containing pharmaceutical grade Epsom salts dissolved into 10 inches of water. The water is heated to the body’s skin temperature of 95 degrees. The salt creates a high water density, allowing the body to float effortlessly.
The Fibromyalgia Flotation Project (FFP) was created to document the efficacy of flotation Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy (REST) as a treatment for people suffering from fibromyalgia. FFP is a voluntary, international effort. The first study completed by FFP was presented at the Float Summit 2012 in Sweden. According to the study results, flotation REST can improve the lives of people with fibromyalgia by decreasing pain, muscle tension, anxiety and stress. It also showed an increase in freedom of movement, energy, mood and quality of sleep. Most of these improvements showed longer-term relief as the study participants floated repeatedly.
