Aquarian Dreams 27-year Anniversary Events
On Saturday, October 5, Aquarian Dreams celebrates 27 years with an open house from noon to 4 p.m. and a dinner party at 7 p.m.
The open house will provide the opportunity to meet Aquarian Dreams’ lightworkers, healers and teachers. There will be live entertainment, demonstrations, vegetarian snacks, tea, healings and prizes. The event is free.
The vegetarian potluck dinner begins at 7 p.m. All customers and friends are invited to celebrate the growth and evolution of the local holistic and spiritual community. The potluck will be followed by a dance. Cost is free, donations accepted for The Lightworker Community Center. Bring a dish to pass if possible.
The Aquarian Dreams store first opened in 1986 in Melbourne as Starlight-Aquarian Age Store. Founder Cheri Hart included her three children in the business, which offered many holistic and spiritual products, natural fiber clothing and wooden toys. Classes and healing programs were offered and “The Lightworker” holistic newspaper for Brevard County was published.
After moving to Gainesville and back to Melbourne, Aquarian Dreams finally settled in the current location in 2003. In 2008, The Lightworker Community Center, a not-for-profit healing, meditation and learning center, was added. Aquarian Dreams is still a family business, with Hart’s son, Jamin, working as an acupuncture physician and her daughter, Shana, working in the store. Shana’s son, Teren, is also a massage therapist and yoga teacher at the store.
