In August, Beautiful Beginnings Midwifery opened in Brevard, offering complete home birth services for childbearing women and their families throughout Brevard County and surrounding areas.

“At Beautiful Beginnings Midwifery we are committed to providing safe, holistic, family centered care by supporting the woman's body, her strength, and her wishes for a beautiful, natural birthing experience,” says owner/midwife Rachel Powers, LM, CPM. “It is our belief that pregnancy, labor, and birth are normal life processes, and that the majority of women can give birth without interventions.”

Care is designed to meet the needs of each individual through in-home appointments. Services include water birth and Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC), routine lab work, continuous labor support, postpartum care, lactation counseling, placenta encapsulation, complete newborn exam and infant metabolic screening.
