Space Coast Health Institute Offers Massage and Skincare Program
Space Coast Health Institute (SCHI) is offering massage and skincare training programs in their 10,000 square foot training facility in Melbourne. The program consists of courses that combine scientific knowledge of the body, a variety of techniques, communication skills and business practices.
Jody Stork established SCHI in 1991, making it one of the oldest and most well-known massage therapy schools in the state of Florida. Stork has created a program that combines the anatomy and physiology instruction needed to be successful and a thorough “hands on” approach to massage therapy. “Upon completion of the program, graduates have all the tools and training to be exceptional massage and skincare professionals,” says Stork.
Stork was the former team sports massage therapist for 9 years with the Florida Marlins, the team sports massage therapist for the Padres in 1998 and for Dan Marino of the Miami Dolphins. Each spring, SCHI offers a professional sports internship where students provide massage therapy services to the MLB Washington Nationals at their spring training baseball camp in Viera.
