The Health Training Institute of Merritt Island is offering certification programs in Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, Massage Therapy, and CPR and First Aid through the American Heart Association and they are planning more programs for 2016. Ann DeMaria, owner, opened the Health Training Institute of Merritt Island to serve the local area and Brevard County.

“Finding caring home-care professionals with a good work ethic on Merritt Island has been challenging,” admits DeMaria about her own challenges finding care for her severely challenged grandson. “We want to encourage people who have been laid off, home wives, high school graduates, anyone who wants to make a major change in their lives, to give us a call.”

“Our goal is to supporting our students in all aspects of their desired health care fields,” continues DeMaria. “In addition to the basic skills and functions of specific professions, students will learn ethics, professionalism, compassion and integrity.”

The Health Training Institute of Merritt Island is licensed by the Commission for Independent Education, Florida Department of Education. Class sizes are small with an emphasis on personal attention. Also, job placement assistance and payment plans are available.
