CBD, or hemp oil, is derived from the cannabis plant. The plant contains naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes, which interact with the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Just like humans, animals have the ECS system. It’s involved with physiological processes in the body including appetite, pain sensation, nausea, mood, memory and inflammation. CBD can be used to treat arthritis, seizures, pain, IBD, allergies, anxiety, and glaucoma and used with cancer treatment and for quality of life during hospice care.
