YogaFish is pleased to host the Usui Reiki Level I Training and Attunement workshop led by George Hughes, an Usui Reiki Master and yoga teacher (IAYT, E-RYT 500). The workshop will be held Saturday, May 18 from 1 to 6:30 p.m.

“Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing,” says Hughes. “It is a form of hands-on-healing used to cleanse, balance and heal while invigorating the mind, body and soul. Reiki is based on the idea that an energy life force flows within each of us.”

This workshop will explore the principles and practice of Reiki self-healing in an environment that promotes self-discovery as well. “One cannot begin to heal others until they have taken the responsibility to heal themselves,” shares Hughes. “This clear, concise and hands-on class gives all participants the opportunity to discover the relaxation, healing and balance available through Reiki practice.” Hughes also encourages participants to discover their unique intuitive abilities.

This Reiki Level I Class will include the history of Usui Reiki, Reiki principles, hand placements for self-healing and basics for healing others, practice, discussion of chakras, meditation and attunements and an ethics discussion. No experience is necessary to take this class.
