City of Port St Lucie Recognizes Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. To celebrate the City of Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreations Department is prioritizing mental health, well-being, and mindfulness in their programs during the month. The free programs are an incentive for residents to take part in their “Take Time for You!” initiative.
Participants can partake in five free yoga classes held in beautiful city parks, an instructor-led walk at Woodstork Trail Park, Forest Bathing at the serene and tranquil Botanical Gardens, and Brain Fitness at Woodland Trails Neighborhood Park.
“Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation is poised perfectly to offer a holistic approach to improving mental health,” says Patricia Roberts, Deputy Director of the City of Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation Department. “We are the very “connectors” to provide our guests with ways in which to improve their mental health. Come out and enjoy our free program offerings as we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month.”
