bUneke, an educational charity, presents MetaFest, a free, public event, held inside Merritt Square Mall, every January, April, July, and October. The family-oriented event is always on a Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features vendors, free classes, entertainment, and a raffle giveaway.

The next MetaFest is scheduled for July 22 and will showcase other Brevard County charities and philanthropic businesses that include everything from acupuncture to yoga.

Attendees who interact with bUneke volunteers can qualify for free raffle tickets. Vendors always receive free tickets. Children can display their inner artists at the activity table sponsored by MoxieBox Art.

“Vendors and volunteers drive several hours to participate, and some reserve their spaces months in advance,” says organizer Mary Brotherton.

“Ellen Onieal, of Phoenix Band, sponsors our sound system and provides a free concert,” says Brotherton. “Other popular entertainers have included performances from Bellydance & Beyond Studios and a Spirit Drum Journey from Spirit Rising. We hope to offer a free Zumba class soon.”
