Joe Embres, owner of Kyanos Farms in Vero Beach, is passionate about providing fresh, live, locally grown spirulina. Spirulina is a type of blue-green algae that is rich in protein, vitamins, minerals, carotenoids, and antioxidants.

“Our spirulina is grown in pristine water from a 600-foot deep artesian well, bathed in South Florida sunshine. Our small family farm's hands-on, gentle harvesting techniques yield a product far superior to mass-produced, dehydrated alternatives,” says Embres. “Our propriety manual harvesting technique makes this spirulina truly special.” The spirulina is harvested weekly and is only available locally in limited quantities.

Kyanos Farms Spirulina is available fresh in one-pound glass jars or fresh-frozen in convenient single-serving packets. Customers can pick up their orders at the farm by appointment on Fridays or have it delivered to their doorstep.
