Most people have heard about the use of hypnosis for making changes like losing weight, stopping smoking and relieving stress. However, many are surprised to learn that nearly everyone goes in and out of hypnotic states every day of their lives. Some examples of this are “road hypnosis” (when you find yourself at your destination without remembering exactly how you drove there), or even listening to favorite pieces of music, television shows or reading a favorite book, when suddenly someone is shaking your shoulder and asking if you heard anything they just said.
