Village Animal Wellness Center
Dr. Donna Ragona established Cocoa Village Animal Wellness Center (CVAWC) as an innovative practice with a gentle non-invasive approach. This integrative practice combines the best of both conventional medicine and alternative therapies.
After graduating from veterinary school in 1998 she expanded her education by studying nutrition, spinal manipulation, energy work, and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine. Other modalities added to her practice include I-therm, stem cell treatments, and lasers.
The I-therm device provides hyperthermia treatment targeting areas needed healing. “The hyperthermia acts like a “fever” and tissue heals at a remarkable rate,” says Dr. Ragona. “Many soft tissue traumas like painful swollen spinal discs have been virtually healed.”
Dr. Ragona shares that one stem cell treatment can improve the architecture of an arthritic joint so that an animal quickly becomes pain and drug free. A surgical laser is used to decrease pain and infection for surgery patients. The therapeutic Class IV laser is used to treat small areas in need of healing.
Dr. Ragona is committed to researching and insuring her patient’s therapies first and foremost do no harm. She prefers natural alternatives for chronic conditions while incorporating all the best medicine that conventional care has to offer.
