Sandalwood Massage & Bodywork by Jane, a new small business focused on wellness and healthcare, will be accepting health insurance for specific treatments as requested by clients’ physicians beginning this month. “I’m very excited for this opportunity as it will allow us to reach those who can benefit greatly from our services but may not have the ability to afford effective care,” says owner Jane Coyne, LMT, MLD-C, MMP. This will ease the burden of costs on the client and allow them to utilize insurance for massage therapy and other services a doctor deems necessary. A prescription with explicit orders to the Medical Massage Practitioner will be required.
