Build Your Own Wellness Dream Team

Our bodies have an incredible way of letting us know when they need a little extra care—sometimes with a gentle nudge, other times with a not-so-subtle wake-up call. This past year, I’ve been paying closer attention to those signals, making sure to support my body with movement, good nutrition, and the expert care of trusted wellness practitioners. As Moving More reminds us, “Even tiny changes matter... all movement is progress, so celebrate it” [page 52].
This issue marks our 24th publishing anniversary. Through Natural Awakenings, I’ve been fortunate to learn from some of the best in the wellness field, and my family relies on these practitioners to maintain our health. Our functional medical doctor is our foundation, and our team also includes an osteopath, herbalist, massage therapist, and energy healer. Finding trusted sources for wellness products rounds out our holistic approach.
We designed this special annual guide to help you build your own wellness dream team. This issue is meant to be a year-round resource, complete with an expanded directory and practitioner profiles to connect you with local experts who can support your health journey. Keep it handy, and bookmark our online resource at DreamTeam.my-NA.com for easy access. You’ll also find inspiration in the Natural Library, featuring a local author [page 29].
This month, explore the benefits of sustainability in Waste Not, Want Not: Benefits of a Circular Economy [page 34] and discover how Clean and Renewable Energy advancements are shaping a greener future [page 48]. Learn how to fuel your gut health in Increasing Gut Health With Prebiotics [page 38], and consider growing an eco-friendly garden with Benefits of Gardening With Native Plants [page 33]. If movement is on your mind, Moving More [page 52] offers practical ways to stay active. Plus, families can enjoy time together in the kitchen with Cooking With Kids [page 46], and pet owners can support their feline friends with Treating Urinary Infections in Cats, which shares how diet, hydration, and supplements can help [page 42].
Throughout this issue, you’ll find a wealth of expertise from our advertisers. We hope this guide supports you in maintaining a vibrant, balanced life.
Here’s to tuning up, recharging, and thriving!
